Darrell helped managed 10 different hospitals in 5 different states. He opened 3 new hospitals; one as the CEO/Administrator and two as the CFO/Controller. He managed hospitals for Intermountain Healthcare, Charter Medical and Hospital Corporation of America.
Darrell opened Orriant, one of the first health coaching companies, in 1996. He signed one of the first employer-hospital at-risk contracts in 2000. He is the founder of the participatory-underwriting strategy to improve population health for entire organizations at no cost to the employer. He is the innovator of the first proactive population mental-health solution Resilience PRO. He founded AspirationalHealthcare.com to drive healthcare to be more customer-centric and reduce the cost of healthcare by half. He created Health Benefits Lab to connect CEOs with innovative healthcare solutions. He founded Goring On Offense to promote resilience and proactively address the emotional and mental health challenges caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Darrell provides consulting services to CEOs and Healthcare Systems on how to build winning teams by better leveraging healthcare dollars.
He is a speaker for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions, Vistage, Lorman Education Services, World Research Group, National Association of Health Underwriters, various local chambers throughout the U.S. such as the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce, HR Consulting Group, Work Place Benefits Association and The Employers Council.
